Privacy Policy

ReelLog is a personal movie-tracking app operated by an independent developer. This page explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: we store only what makes the app work, we don't run ads, our analytics are anonymous, and we never sell your data.

What we store

• Account: your email address and a username (created automatically, editable in Profile) — and your name if you sign in with Apple or Google, which is only used to suggest your first username. If you browse as a guest, no personal details are collected at all.
• Your collection: the films you save, their status (want to watch / watched), your ratings, and watch dates.

This data is stored securely with Supabase, our database provider, and is linked only to your account. Parts of your collection are also cached on your device so the app works offline.

Emails

We send sign-in emails (your 6-digit code) through Brevo, our email delivery service. We don't send marketing emails.

Film information

Posters, descriptions, and ratings come from TMDB and IMDb. The app requests this through our own server; these services never receive your identity or your collection.

Analytics

To understand which parts of the app people actually use — and where they get stuck — we count anonymous events through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU.

What this counts: that something happened — a film was saved, a search was started, a screen was opened — together with your device model, iOS version, app version, and language setting.

What it never includes: which films you save, your ratings, your collection, your email address, your name, or your location. The identifier attached to these counts is anonymised by the service and cannot be traced back to you or your account.

These counts exist only to improve the app. They are never used for advertising, never combined with data from other companies, and never sold or shared with data brokers.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything in it. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

Your rights

You can ask us anytime what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or delete it: hello@reellog.app.

Children

ReelLog is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will always be at this address.
